Practical Guide to Cheer up and Smile

What do you need:

1. Some post-its or people of papers.
2. Something to write, like pen, crayon, markers …. Whatever you have. You can even paint if you like. And if you do paint, please send us some

What needs to be done before the campaign:

1. Draw a smiley face on each piece of paper or post-it and handwrite below the phrase “A smile for you”. It is important to be hand writing and not printed.
2. Prepare as many papers with smiles like described at step 1 as you like and want to give
3. Try to use light and live colors. Be creative when drawing the smiley face on the paper.
4. Make a note of how many piece of papers you draw. You will need this number later to communicate it to our area coordinator or to us

What you do during the campaign:

1.Smile and enjoy the moment
2. Give (offer) the pieces of papers you draw to the people you encounter during the designated hours
3. At the end of the campaign count the papers left so that you know how many you offered.

How to dress:

1. It really does not matter. Generally speaking we encourage to wear happy and live colors to support the joy and happiness signs.
2. If you still want a direction about how to dress: Try to dress with a smile! That’s the most colored thing you can wear (or laugh) :)

How long does it take:

Officially the campaign last 1 hour. From 2 PM till 3 PM local time. But we encourage you to offer smiles as long as you want :)

What is the smile we’re offering during the campaign:

The smile we’re offering in this campaign is a piece of paper were you draw a smiley face and hand wrote the inscription “A smile for you”.
